About RV Dump Station Finder
Our mission
freervdump.com is a free map of 1,588 RV dump stations across the US. No account, no app, no paywall. The locations come from an OpenStreetMap snapshot, so some fees, hours, and statuses will be out of date, and we say so on every page. We want to make the map more useful, and the best way we know is to go and see for ourselves.
The cross-country trip
In mid-November I'm leaving Maryland in my RV for a long trip. The plan: south on I-95 to Florida, across the Everglades, up Florida's west coast, then through Alabama and Louisiana and west to California, with stops at the Grand Canyon and other must-see places. In spring I'll head back across the central US to Maryland. Routes change, so please treat this as a plan, not a promise.
Along the way I plan to use as many of the listed dump stations as I can and leave a personal review for each one I visit. I haven't visited any for this project yet, so reviews will only appear after the trip begins, and only for stations I actually use.
You can help. If you've used a station on the map, or you find one that's closed, moved, or wrong, send us a visit report or correction, with the date you were there if you can. Every review is read before it goes live. Use the report form or email [email protected].
Where the data comes from
Station details (location, fee, hours, potable water, access) come from OpenStreetMap contributors, as a snapshot taken July 15, 2026, and are used under the Open Database License (ODbL). Each station page shows the date of the last OpenStreetMap edit for that entry. Please confirm with the operator before you drive there. If something is wrong, you can also fix it in OpenStreetMap for everyone.
How reviews work
Anyone can leave a review on a station page. Every review is read before it appears. A station that I personally used on the trip gets a Reviewed on the road badge, with the date of the visit, on my own approved review only. Reviews from other visitors never get that badge, whatever name they use. The badge says that I used the station that day. It says nothing about the OpenStreetMap details shown above it.
How to send a visit report
Been to a station on the map? A short, specific note helps the next RVer most. You don't need an account.
- Open the station's page and use Been here? Leave a review, or use the report form if something is wrong (closed, moved, wrong fee, wrong hours).
- Pick a rating and the status when you visited: open, closed, or fee changed.
- Start your comment with the date you were there, then add what you noticed, for example: "Visited 2026-11-20. Paid $10 cash. Potable water at a separate spigot. Easy pull-through."
- Name is optional. Use a first name or a handle, whatever you like.
What helps most? The date of your visit; the fee you actually paid (or "free"); whether there was potable water and whether it was labeled; whether the station was open, closed, or blocked; and anything about access like height limits, a gate, or "customers only". A photo is a nice extra, but optional. If you have one, just say so in your comment and we'll reply if we need to see it. We never publish a photo without asking.
Please leave out license plates, other people's faces, home addresses, phone numbers, and anything else personal. We don't need your email unless you want a reply.
Reviews are read before they appear. Station details on each page come from an OpenStreetMap snapshot, so a visit report is just one person's account on one day. Thank you for helping other RVers.
